The complex is situated in the Riviera Maya, 25 kilometers from Carmen beach, 35 kilometers from the city of Tulum, 75 kilometers south of Cancun International airport and 85 kilometers from the city of Cancun . Mexico offers visitors the chance to explore a multitude of natural landscapes of rivers, lakes and freshwater lagoons, Mayan archaeological ruins and pyramids. They can also try delicious gastronomic specialties and will be impressed by the friendliness of the Mexican people.

Rooms in both hotels feature either king or queen-sized beds, terrace or balcony, fully-equipped bathroom with hairdryer, coffee-making facilities, mini bar, air conditioning, Internet connection, satellite TV, ceiling fan, telephone, safe, electronic locks and room service. Suites and junior suites are also available

The complex has two swimming pools with Jacuzzi, a playground and "Micky Maya" kid's club, the "Capitán Morgan" discotheque playing international music, several retail stores selling gifts, liquor, cigarettes, souvenirs and jewelry, a gym, sauna, Jacuzzi, Turkish bath, beauty salon and medical center.  There are also 3 tennis courts, a sports track, volleyball, French bowls, a gym, aerobics, basketball, mini-golf, dance classes, soccer, table tennis, badminton, shuffleboard, rifle shooting, darts and billiards in addition to a full range of water sports including windsurfing, sailing, water skiing, scuba diving, snorkeling, kayaks, catamaran, pedal boats, sunfish, sea tricycles, water gymnastics, water polo and water basketball. Other services include currency exchange, car rental, sun loungers on the beach, deck chairs and sun loungers around the swimming pools, travel agency, babysitting service, laundry, mail and fax, medical care and expert advice on tours to the most interesting and beautiful sites in the region.

Grill restaurants: "Rancho Grande" in the Barceló Maya Beach and "Capitán Morgan" in the Barceló Maya Caribe. Capacity 500 pax & 300 pax respectively. Opened from 10:30 to 18:30 h. A la Carte: "El Agave" (Mexican cuisine) and "El Quijote" (Spanish cuisine). Formal wear is required at these restaurants.Capacity 120 & 90 pax respectively. Only dinner, opened from 18:00 to 22:00 h. (Reservations are required) The complex has a total of 6 bars, 3 in each hotel, with different styles: 2 lobby bars opened from 9:00 to 24:00 h., 2 bars in the Theater opened from 18:00 to 24:00 h. and 2 poolside bars opened from 9:00 to 18:00 h. In addition to that we have a Disco Bar at your disposal, opened from 22:30 to 02:00 h. International drinks available with extra charge.

The complex is justifiably renowned for its excellent day and nighttime activities programs for both adults and children. Activities are organized on the beach, around the swimming pools or in the spectacular Kukulcán theater, which features typical shows and performances every night for hotel guests.
