Hobart, Australia's most southern
city is also the capital of the country's only island state. It is a city that
has a history of dependence on its waterfront. Tucked away on the edge of the
Antarctic Ocean, and being isolated from the rest of Australia, Hobart has
retained and nurtured its historic heritage and developed a unique character
quite different from anywhere in Australia. Rydges Hobart is a hotel where the
charm and grace of the old is in harmony with the polish of the new. The
property captures the ambience of historic Hobart and is quietly sophisticated
and imbued with a warmth and intimacy that comes only from smaller hotels.
