Bahia Principe Resort is formed by two 4 stars hotels (Tulum and Akumal) with a total of 1242 rooms, the commercial and entertainment centre Hacienda Dona Isabel and the best variety of services in the Caribbean. Thanks to its situation, its facilities and services, the hotel Bahia Principe Akumal is known in the Riviera Maya as an excellent hotel of five stars. The resort follows patterns of sustained tourism. Walking through the property you can admire the wonderful tropical vegetation, nice gardens and protected areas where ecology and architecture combine perfectly.

432 rooms, 360 of them are Junior suites (with whirlpool) and 72 Double rooms, distributed in 3 storey villas of 18 rooms each, most of them with direct sea-view. Twelve rooms with disabled facilities. All rooms with twin or king size beds, air conditioning, full bathroom, hairdryer, satellite TV, direct telephone, private safe (extra charge), mini-bar, and balcony or terrace.

The All Inclusive programme consists of breakfast (07:00-10:30), lunch (12:30-15:30, show cooking) and dinner (18:30-22:30), all buffet style, served in the main restaurant. Breakfast & lunch are also served at the Dolce Vita restaurant and dinner is available at the International Gourmet restaurant, the Italian restaurant or Fisheria from 18.00-22.00 (reservation required) too. The snack bar on the beach operates 24hrs a day offering variety of snacks like burgers, hot dogs, chicken nuggets, nachos and pizzas (Akumal). Locally produced alcoholic drinks including local beer and wine, long drinks, cocktails, soft drinks, coffee, tea and water are available from 10:00-23:00 at selected bars. In addition there are 2 A la Carte restaurants for AI guests offering Mexican food and a Grill & Steak House (reservation required for all).

Non-motorised water sports are available such as windsurfing, catamarans, kajaks, boogie-boards, snorkelling and a diving clinic in the pool. Tennis (3 floodlit courts), bikes, volleyball, soccer, table tennis, gym, aerobics and Merengue & Salsa lessons are also available as well as golf on two courses in the surrounding area, football soccer and basketball. During the day and evening you can follow the programme of entertainment for adults and children, performed by the entertainment team. Mini club for children between 4 & 12 years old.

The hotel is located approx. 90 Km (one hour by car) from Cancún airport, 30 minutes from Carmen Beach and 20 minutes from Tulum.
