Dom Pedro Garajau Hotel is a well-appointed establishment in a quiet location, 9km along the coast from Funchal and close to the interesting village of Canico. The hotel is composed of six adjacent buildings stretching over 300m along the street and opposite a variety of local shops and bars. Each building has three floors with the twin rooms being located in the 5th and 6th buildings. Each room is equipped with the following facilities: private bathroom, 2 large single beds, direct dial telephone, safety deposit box (payable locally), central heating, TV and a balcony.

The Dom Pedro Hotel is proud to offer the Tropical Restaurant, a cool welcoming space which leads out onto a gorgeous dining terrace looking out over the lush gardens to desert islands on the ocean horizon. The restaurant is decorated in pastels featuring soft peach tones and provides a comfortable place to enjoy a meal (open from 07:30-10:00 for a buffet breakfast, 12.30-14.00 for a set menu lunch and 18.00-21.30 for a buffet dinner). The Caracalla bar is located by the indoor pool and offers a really exotic atmosphere. During the day, it is a wonderful place to relax in the sun and enjoy your favourite drink, while later it becomes the softly lit venue for the live entertainment provided every night (open daily from 10:00-00:00). The Pool Bar is next to the outdoor swimming pool in the hotels luxuriant gardens and is the ideal place to enjoy Madeiras warm sunshine while having a light lunch, snack or drink (open 10:00-18:00, in season).

The Dom Pedro Garajau Hotel has excellent facilities for leisure, relaxation and entertainment. The indoor pool - under a sliding roof - is heated to a welcoming 27°C/80°F, and is located in the exotic Bar Caracalla next to the reception. Here guests will find sunloungers, showers and a towel service. The outdoor pool and childrens pool are set among palm trees by the pool bar. The attractive and generously sized free-form pools are divided by a bridge leading to the thatched bar where drinks and snacks are served. Showers and a towel service are also available. The Cristo Rei outdoor pool is located 750m from the hotel, next to the Statue of Christ, and again sunloungers and showers are available. Other sports include snooker, table tennis, darts, games room and a sports court (equipment for volleyball, badminton, bowls and archery are available at the hotel). There are tennis courts 750m from the hotel (rackets and balls available on request).
