Bahia Principe San Juan hotel is located 18 km along the Gaspar Hernandez-Rio San Juan road, on the north coast of the Dominican Republic. It was opened in July 1995 and stands on a private 5km long beach sheltered by a coral reef. The hotel covers an area of over 1.5 million sq m and is surrounded by lush tropical vegetation, with myriad mangroves all over the area surrounding the hotel.

The large rooms have 2 single beds or one double, air conditioning, fully fitted bathrooms, hair-dryer, cable TV (satellite), telephone with direct outside line, mini-bar, safe deposit box(extra charge) and cot rental (on request), and a balcony or terrace.

The complex has two lake-type swimming-pools with children section, one of them with Jacuzzi, and one activities pool, a large sun-deck, sun-shades, sun-beds and a towel service at the swimming pools and beach. There is a Mini-Club for children, concert-hall/theatre, entertainment and evening shows. The hotel also has (floodlit) tennis courts, basketball courts, a mini-golf course, football pitch, water-sports centre and a fully equipped gym.

You will be able to practice motorised and non-motorised water-sports: windsurfing (one hour a day), catamarans (one hour a day), sunfish, kayaking, boogie boards, water skiing, etc. You will have the opportunity to learn to dive, play tennis, football or volleyball, and take bodybuilding, aerobics and merengue classes. You will be able to play golf and go horse-riding. And if that’s still not enough for you, you can always follow our programmes of daytime and evening entertainment for adults and children.

The hotel offers the facilities of the Bahia Principe San Juan Mini-Club for the enjoyment and healthy entertainment of children. The club has fully qualified staff responsible for entertaining children with various recreational and interactive activities to ensure they enjoy their holiday in a healthy and safe way. The Mini-Club is available to children aged between 4 and 12 years.

Main meals breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in the rich buffet style at the Main Restaurant “La Brisa”. There is also an A la Carte Dinner served by order from menu of the Italian restaurant “El Chiringuito”. Lunch and Snacks are served at the Gourmet Restaurant “La Orquidea” and at the Mexican Restaurant “Rincon Mexicano”. Buffet Beach Restaurant “Casita Blanca” serves American food 24 hours (except for breakfast). House wine is offered with all meals. Certain restrictions apply by dining at other hotel restaurants. There are 10 bars at the hotel to choose from, serving various locally produced alcoholic drinks including local beer and wine, soft drinks, cocktails, juices and water. All locally produced drinks are also available at Pueblo Principe hotel in the bars: “La Terraza” Bar, Discotheque, Karaoke and Rock Café. Mini bar in the guest rooms is available refilled daily with soft drinks, water and beer.
