Just got back from a sunny week in Feurteventura Sue and just wanted to say thank you for all your assistance.
We still had a few reservations about Club Select Holidays being a bonefide company, despite all assurances that you were, VISA acceptance, websites, registered at Companies House etc, but as we are a couple who do not attend meetings as we did last year and especially when we were given information regarding bogus holiday companies as we arrived at Gatwick!! We were very pleased to find that all our concerns were unfounded.
We are very pleased to say that the service was marvelous from yourselves and we certainly enjoyed what we feel will be the first of many holidays through yourselves in the coming years and also for our friends and families

Sorry I have not got back to you before.
We had a great time in Prague . The hotel was really nice. The room
size was adequate. The bathroom was nearly as big as the room. It
had a spa bath and was exceptionally clean. There was no view we
looked inwards to a sort of.if courtyard, but that didn't matter.
The food and service at the hotel was really good. Location was
superb right on Wenceslas square within walking distance of most
sights. Would go back to the hotel again if we went back to Prague.
Got the Hotel car service to take us back to the airport really
reasonable. On the way back we got upgraded on the plane to club
class (no idea why). Booking chauffer collect (through Club Select)
at the airport was well worth the extra money. We were delayed
because of an accident on the motorway so did not have much time to
spare, but not having to bother about parking the car was great.
Especially as The North Terminal car park was closed and we would
have had to go to the South car park and travel across, Thanks for
finding the Hotel it was a good choice ..Janet

Hi All
Just a few line to say that we met Jackie on our visit just over a
week ago to Lanzarote. The holiday was fantastic and the
weather great. Jackie was extremely helpful and co-operative.
Jackie has just booked a two week holiday for us in Menorca at a
very competitive price both for the Villa and flights and her
service is commendable. She is a great credit to your club and to
you. She was quick to respond my e-mail and phoned us up once we
selected our Villa and took our payment - we received e-mails
confirming all our bookings that same.
She is a great credit to you and the most helpful person that I have
dealt with since joining the club.

May I thank you for all the help you have given me over the last week or so, it's a pleasure to speak with someone who is always willing to assist and always so cheerful. Over the past you have also helped my other son and daughter in law (Tammy) and on behalf of us all we would like to wish you a lovely Xmas and a very Happy New Year. Holiday Clubs Nov 2006 |

Hope the directors won’t mind but I gave Club Select a plug with a BBC Northwest consumer champion today. She did a piece on Holiday Clubs earlier in the week and I thought both sides should be represented so sent her an email with our views; can’t be doing with one sided journalism. Her name is Jayne Barrett and we spoke on the phone today; hopefully her next instalment will show there can be good sides as well as bad, I gave her permission to broadcast our experiences. I’m sure it will be in a very loose way as her time slot is very limited but it had to be said. Hi Sue
Back from Alvor feeling chilled out and
with the weather as it is here today, wishing I was still there. We
really enjoyed our break and although it wasn't wall to wall
sunshine, we had three beautiful days, the others sometimes overcast
and lots of rain during the night. It was very warm (I didn't even
need a jacket at night) so we felt we had done not too badly for
November and even have a bit of a tan to prove it!
With regards to the arrangements, we had
no problems at all. Both flights were early with no incidents. The
car hire company now have a depot at the airport so it made picking
up and returning the car really easy. As rental companies go, we
thought they were pretty efficient and their cars all seemed to be
of a good standard. The hotel was very good and I think we would
probably go back. However, for your information re future
recommendations, I have listed one or two points which may be
useful.
1. Breakfast was nothing special - Tea
lookwarm, boiled eggs raw etc. This put us off "eating in"any
evenings which was not a problem as the restaurants in Alvor are
superb - especially if you like fish! The food issue was probably
the only thing that was definitely not 5* quality.Good that we were
only B+B!
2. Location of the hotel was a good
20+mins walk to the town/harbour along poorly lit roads.This was not
a problem for us as we like walking and also as we had a car. The
beach below the hotel is magnificent although it could be quite a
steep descent for less mobile people.
3. The overall quality was of a good
standard and the Portugese people are delightful.

Hi to you all
I just wanted to say a thank you to Sue for
arranging the fantastic holiday my husband and I have just returned
from in Tenerife. The booking arrangements were spot-on, the Arona
Gran Hotel was fantastic and it was a perfect break from start to
finish. Thank you very much to all of you who do this job as I'm
sure at times it must be extremely frustrating for you.

Hi Louise
I hope you are fine, a very long time no speak! I just wanted to
let you
know that we are just back from our Florida holiday you planned for
us well
over a year ago. Our first trip with yourselves since joining the
club.
With all my worries about it going wrong, it was great, the hotel
fantastic
but very hot and humid, apparently the most humid it has been for
years.
Over 100 in the day time and 85 at night. Looking forward to
booking
another one, but maybe you won't be!! I hope I am not such a pain
next
